Yes this device will control both bluetooth and IR devices. The product comes with one IR blaster that you can put anywhere so that you have the ability to conceal your devices. I personally found that I didn't need the IR blaster since everything is in an open cabinet, but my son purchased one also and he uses two IR blasters. I believe you can purchase extra blasters right here at Best Buy. The IR blasters connect directly to the back of the hub and the hub accommodates 2 blasters.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, RF to the hub (the hub acts as one big IR blaster ) this makes it sometimes easy and sometimes really hard, it can cause IR interference also if you have more than one product with the same brand in the same rack then it is hard to make it only see the one you are trying to control. You can use IR emitters but there are only two ports on the back of the Logitech and both are 2.5mm so you can order the emitters from Logitech or get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter. The other way that I have done several times is by using the supplied IR blaster and cutting the cord then splicing into it. I have added 3-4 IR emitters in the same splice and it works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2.5mm jack, two ports on hub. Can be spliced.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The IR blaster attaches with a long cable. I have my equipment inside a cabinet. The receiver is on the top shelf and cable box and Blu-ray are stacked on top of each other on the bottom shelf with the xbox 360 sitting beside them. I sat the hub on top of the cable box and ran the IR out the back and sat on top of cabinet in front of the TV. Everything communicates great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can connect 2 of the blasters to the main unit. It comes with 1. I placed the 1 inside my closed cabinet and that works for the 3 devices in there. I guess all you can do is try.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It connects in the back and is wired they both work together to make the sensor be strong
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It communicates via RF to the hub. The hub then blasts IR signals to your devices. The beautiful part about this remote is you don't need a bunch of blasters taped to each device. They claim it bounces IR off of walls, furniture, etc. to get it to your device. In my setup I have my stereo, cable box, dvd, and VCR in a cabinet with glass doors. The hub sits directly on top of the cabinet without a direct line of sight to any of the devices and it works incredibly well and without delay. In theory you could have the blaster in a closed cabinet and it would still work. One IR blaster is included in the package to control devices outside of a closed cabinet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The remote or smart phone app communicates RF to hub. The hub translates to ir and blasts out. I used existing IR extenderst from previous set up and plugged into the hub and it works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The IR blaster connects through a cable. It does not have to be attached to each device. I placed the hub in front of my cable box, Sony Media Player and Roku. It is not even in sight for my Denon AVR but it still controls. I am using the IR blaster to control my samsung TV which above my credenza. The IR blaster is just on the Credenza.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can. The IR blaster plugs into the back of the hub. You place the IR blaster in the cabinet so it's at least not buried, and it'll work just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
