No, that is not necessary for the hub and remote to function. Or at least not for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You need not physically connect any part of this remote to any component.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The monitor can be controlled by the IR of the pod.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you're asking if the remote requires and HDMI hookup, the answer is no. The hub only needs power to work, but to use the smartphone app you will also need to connect the hub to your home wifi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, It works directly with your wireless router via Wi-Fi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The Hub only requires a power source which is done through a micro usb cable. There are two other ports for additional IR sensors if you have your receiver hidden behind a cabinet. In fact, it includes one of the said IR sensors. Very convenient.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no, if I recall correctly it has it's own AC adapter, and works wirelessly, it may also have one or more IR blasters.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Harmony never actually connects to your TV, so no. The IR blaster on the Harmony will control the TV. You program the Harmony itself using a smartphone or tablet with the Logitech app loaded on it, or you can plug the Harmony into the USB port on your computer to program it. The only 'connection' for the harmony unit is a micro-USB on the back that is used for normal power or for connection to a computer to program or update.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since the device does not connect to the TV there is not a need for HDMI
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Nothing is required on the TV or any device you want to use this with. Basically if it is an electronic device that has a remote, this hub will probably work with it.
