• If you're asking if the remote requires and HDMI hookup, the answer is no. The hub only needs power to work, but to use the smartphone app you will also need to connect the hub to your home wifi.

• No. The Hub only requires a power source which is done through a micro usb cable. There are two other ports for additional IR sensors if you have your receiver hidden behind a cabinet. In fact, it includes one of the said IR sensors. Very convenient.

• The Harmony never actually connects to your TV, so no. The IR blaster on the Harmony will control the TV. You program the Harmony itself using a smartphone or tablet with the Logitech app loaded on it, or you can plug the Harmony into the USB port on your computer to program it. The only 'connection' for the harmony unit is a micro-USB on the back that is used for normal power or for connection to a computer to program or update.

• No. Nothing is required on the TV or any device you want to use this with. Basically if it is an electronic device that has a remote, this hub will probably work with it.
