Can this device be programed to control Zone 2? null

Yes - but you will likely have to set the second zone up as a separate device.

I programmed mine to turn on the zone 2 speakers by pressing the red button. Each button on the remote can do two functions; one for a tap, and another for pressing and holding the button longer.

Yes. When adding the model number you simply add 'zone two' and it works accordingly.

Yes. Mine is programmed to control both zones on a Yamaha reciever with no issues.
