The IR blaster should make this possible as long as you have a way to get it inside the cabinet (it is corded)).

I've Installed plenty of these and used them to control equipment in closets. The only thing you have to remember is that the Harmony Hub will be controlling all the items in the closet(via RF signal sent from the handheld remote to the Hub) and the handheld remote will send the signal to the TV itself via a line-of-site IR signal - so you will have to (somewhat) point the remote toward the TV when starting the built in activities (Watch TV, Watch BluRay, etc.)

This in fact is one of the reasons one buys a remote and hub like this. And in fact if you're using the Android or Apple App for control, rather than the physical remote, you don't even have to be in the room, as it operates via your home's WiFi.
