Yes, this remote has rf capabilities. I have the remote and use it to control all my AV equipment which is located in another room in the house.

Absolutely! My entire home entertainment system is behind closed doors so I require RF technology if I don't want all my cabinet doors open!

This remote includes a hub that transmits IR and it comes with two IR blasters that plug in to the hub.
