• Yes, it is plug and play. You can load a custom driver from Logitech to get more functionality, but the mouse if fully usable on the initial plug in.

• Yes, it is definitely plug/play. It comes with a mini flash drive and works immediately.

• My laptop mouse died. (meltdown more like it). It was super easy. Open package, plug in the USB, it does all of the needed stuff on it's own and it's ready to use!! Plug n use ! It takes 1 minute.

• This would be a auto install. Just you need to click (choose) the next button if asked to install. Which can be done by Key board arrows keys and enter button.
