“Battery light flashing, even with new batteries. I routinely replace the AA batteries. Just did, and the red light is still flashing. Any ideas?”

• Check toe contacts inside the mouse to see if there was any battery leakage. Even invisible film from battery leakage can cut off the connection. Use a pencil eraser to clean them off. Double check with another set of batteries - they can be defective out of the package.

• If that flashing light doesn't bother you, and mouse keeps on working, you can ignore it. Just keep fresh batteries on the side and replace them only if pairing becomes an issue.

• I've had many wireless mouses and they all seem to flash. I think it is just looking for a connection to a mouse pad or something. I only ever change my batteries when the mouse actually stops communicating with the computer.
