• There is an on/off switch underneath. You can leave it on since it will go into "sleep" mode, but you can also turn it off.

• Yes, it does. Turn it upside down, and you will see a tiny slider switch to the left of the Logitech label. There are labels for OFF and ON, and a bit of color will show - red for off and green for on.
