Does the battery run down in sleep mode? null

I’ve had it for months and use it regularly and have never put it in sleep mode or changed the battery.

In the year we have had these sets we may have changed batteries 4 times. We use the Duracell quantum.

There is an off button on the mouse...just turn it off and you should be good
