I need to be able to put this keyboard into my backpack, but when I do, it dings constantly as it connects with the laptop. How do I shut it off? There is no button or switch and it's wireless? null

Best you can do is remove the batteries for travel. There isn't an off switch, as you know. I would even bet frequent battery removal and replacement will lead to the flimsy cover to break sooner than it should. Best of luck, I just ordered a better set.

Hey! For the MK470, there's no on/off switch, but it has a sleep mode to save battery. To avoid accidental reconnects in your backpack, try storing the keyboard with the USB receiver unplugged from your laptop. Alternatively, a small sleeve or pouch could prevent keys from being pressed.
