The USB-C port is only for charging. You can use any USB-C charger, like the ones on some iPhones or iPads. You can also get an USB-C to USB-A cable at BestBuy or elsewhere. All Macs in the past few years have USB-C ports.

The cable that comes with this version is a USB-C to USB-C and is intended for Mac users. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will need to get either a USB Type C adapter, or buy a USB Type A to Type C cord. It's probably cheaper to buy the cord. But most manufacturers are transitioning from Lightning and micro-USB cords to the USB Type C.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem, I had to buy a USB C charger, went to Amazon but they can be had anywhere for about $10. My Mac isn't new enough to have the USB C port but I don't mind the extra cost, the keyboard is worth it in my opinion.
