According to Logitech, it is "MAGICALLY IMMERSIVE"!!! I bought the MX Keys S. It only lit up when it wanted to, regardless of what I did using the keys or their software. I finally fixed it. It's in over 100 pieces in the backyard! Hope that helped with your question.

The one you are looking for is called "static", but you can play with the others to see if you like any of them.

The backlit keys magically light up the moment your hands approach, and automatically adjust to suit your lighting conditions – resulting in optimal battery consumption. The keyboard also introduces a variety of immersive backlighting effects to draw you into your workflow. You can toggle between the effects in Logi Options+ or by simply pressing the Fn key and bulb key at the same time.
