• The G Pro X will provide noise isolating, but not active noise cancelling. This the headset I use all day and it does a pretty stellar job reducing any background noise.

• I bought this headset because my friends were complaining that they could hear too much background noise from me. I have a mechanical keyboard and I haven't heard any more complaints. I am also able to run the washer/dryer while gaming and my friends no longer complain. I would say that it is very effective at minimizing background noise for your partners.
