What are the outputs, for your turntable? Are there RCA plug-OUTS, for the turntable? You'll need to use THESE, and you might need an inexpensive receiver, or such, to provide the proper output from your turntable. The receiver can be the middle part, and it's outputs will plug-IN to your speakers, assuming that your speakers still work … and from your description, they might NOT. … In other words, the small output, from the cartridge of your turntable, will need to be BOOSTED, preferably from a receiver, or a decent pre-amplifier/amplifier combo … to provide the necessary "signal"/music, to your speakers.
