Hello MrSEG! The S120 Speakers can be connected to any devices with a 3.5mm jack input. So if your 50" flat screen TV has a 3.5mm input for external speakers, you're good to go! I probably would recommend something a bit bigger that the S120 Speakers to use with a TV for a good cinematic experience, but they will work. Note that you'll have to connect the speakers to a power outlet as well.
