In my opinion yes! The Apple version offers no protection for the back of the iPad and is not inexpensive. While it is a little more thick with keyboard attached it offers superior body and screen protection. The keyboard is easily detached to use the protected iPad and the angel adjustment for table top viewing and FaceTime is FAR BETTER than other options.

I think the Apple is better for portability. However, the Logitech offers more protection and it is a great keyboard for typing. You should go to an Apple Store and play around with them both before buying one or the other. Either that or buy both and try them out for 14 days then take the one you like least back to the store.

THE APPLE KEYBOARD ONLY COVERS THE SCREEN ITSELF WHEN CLOSED, BUT THERE IS NO BACK PROTECTION FOR YOUR IPAD. THE LOGITECH IS A LITTLE BULKIER DUE TO THE FULL WRAP AROUND PROTECTION, BUT ONCE AGAIN, ALL ABOUT PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
