It's both. The top of the mouse is a touch pad but it also clicks for Left, right, and center.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's an actual click. It doesn't look like it but the whole top pushes down, whether you push on the top right corner, or the top left. It's not your normal tingy click either, it's more of a muffled click, still noticeable but not as bad as your normal click sound.

The mouse indeed clicks, but as there are no real buttons on the unit, the entire left or right corner of the surface will depress onto the base of the mouse. Nothing really too bad, but it's different and you'll understand what I mean if you ever play with one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is an actual click. The gestures work by sliding your finger from the side of the mouse from either side, mimics the Windows 8.1 touch screen. A double tap with 2 fingers, not a click, on the center of mouse is the same as pressing the Windows button.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Left and Right Click are an actual click but not separate click functions, The entire front of mouse goes down and Clicks. Depending where your finger is on the mouse at the time of the click will determine if it is a Right click or a left click, This functionality really sucks as far as I am concerned. You cannot have both fingers touching mouse at same time you want to perform a Left or Right Click.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you press the left and right buttons, they make an actual "click." There's also a scroll wheel in between the two buttons. I hope this answers your question.
