It seems like a high tech nylon and is resistant to spills and stains. FYI a, my battery died after 10 weeks and wouldn't last more than a few days with successive charges.

It says it is liquid repellant and it definitely looks like it would. It has "nice quality" look and feel about it. I would not call it plastic! My cover is a deep gray that looks almost black. Not sure if they called the color black. I really like this keyboard/cover a lot!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's a.very durable man-made material. I've had it for about a month and I have no scratches. My 11 year old son dropped it and the case is fine and it protected the air 2. To my surprise the air 2 stayed in the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say it's "high-grade plastic" or "textured synthetic material. The texture is fabric like, but it water, dirt and scuff resistant. Looks and feels great and is probably "Best-in-Class"
