The speakers have their own power supply, so I believe they will work without an external amplifier. The connection is 3.5mm audio jack, so make sure you have the right output or adapters.

Which is why they don't have the extra features you'd need to set up to DJ.If you're looking to watch videos on your computer or play music for yourself at home, these are great. But if you're looking for something with a little more kick, it'd be best to look at bigger speakers with the amp feature you're looking for.
