These get their power and sound signal via USB you would be better off looking into an inexpensive sound bar as your solution. They will have the appropriate input/output for power and sound. (most likely the yellow are white cable seen on a set of RCA cables) These speakers are great for desktop purposes, but to be 100% honest, I don't think they will be a great solution for a living room. You will have to turn them way up and the sound quality will be less than ideal. A sound bar can be had for a little bit more money ($50-100 range) and will be far superior in pretty much every way for what you are trying to do. I hope that help, good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am using the speakers successfully with a 32 inch Toshiba TV. I needed to go from a digital audio output in the TV to a D to A converter (not too expensive). The plug connection from the converter analog output to the speakers is the small headphone connector type. The speakers have greatly improved the sound clarity and volume for the TV.
