No the speakers are not magnetically sealed. I tried them with my Sony professional CRT monitors and they produce magnetic distortion when place near the screen.

Please try again later.The wires do not appear to be shielded but there may be a thin shielding inside the cord.....the cords are not thick but not flimsy either...I don't know what size the conductors are inside the cords. The cords are about the size of a #12 THHN copper wire.. The speakers may be shielded inside, but like the wires, I'm not going to cut them open to find out. I have experienced no interference whatsoever, and on my desk is a florescent light, land line telephone and it's charger, high intensity light a scanner/printer and quite often several cell phones, tablets and chargers.
