• It comes with the little 4 inch subwoofer, which faces downward, and works quite well. I believe the RMS rating is 150 watts

• The amplifier is built into the subwoofer. It takes line level inputs. It is really made for a 5.1 computer audio output, such as a SoundBlaster card.

• The big box that comes with this set is the subwoofer, with the amplifier built in, that controls sound to all the speakers. One of the front speakers has the volume/power controls. The subwoofer box also has a bass volume control to adjust how much "boom" you hear & feel. The system works great on my TV. Good amount of bass. Surround effect is very good, & well balanced.
