That is more of a question for your flat-screen than the speakers. These speakers can't be directly controlled through a remote control. But most, if not all, flat-screen TVs' audio outputs are controlled by the TV's volume control. As long as you disable the internal speakers on the TV, it should direct the volume and the volume control to the audio output. Just go through the TV's audio menu and choose exterior speakers or turn off internal speakers. That should give you what you want. Flat-screen TV understand that with the thinness comes a lack of space for substantial speakers. They understand that most people will connect an external speaker system of some sort.

Please try again later.yes if the speakers are connected to a variable volume output which most arer then just set the volume on the speakers to one notch below full volume while you set the tv volume to one notch below full volume then make sure your FIOS remote is programmed for the TV which instructions should be in the manual that came with the FIos remote
