“Is the dvr box wireless or does it only connect through a Ethernet cable?”

• It only connects with a Ethernet cable. The one that comes with it is extremely short so I do suggest getting a longer one.

• It is wireless to communicate with the cameras however you have to plug it in to a router to view it online. I made mine wireless by using a wireless ethernet adapter and it works pretty good when viewing it from my smartphone. I did this because it was not able to communicate well with the cameras on the other side of the house where my router was located. The wireless adapter is located close to the center of the house. Hope this helps .
