Why am I not getting color night vision? null

Your night vision will appear in color if the surrounding light around the camera goes above the specs of night vision

Color is capable in low light conditions but, in total darkness the cameras are dependent on infrared LED's and default to black and white under those conditions. If outdoor lighting is used you would most likely have color depending on how much lighting is used. Even our eyes struggle to see colors in the dark but, with a small amount of light we begin to see things and colors. I hope that helps.
