• Sorry but I just double checked and these cameras do not have microphones built in so they do not record audio. The DVR has the capability to record audio and the camera settings have audio settings but it looks like the cameras do not have microphones.

• Each camera's audio can be recorded with its video. The length of the time that the recordings are available will depend on the storage space on the DVR. If you are recording 8 channels of 4k video it will overwrite the old recordings much faster than the 8 channels of say 1080 HD video.
