“Why does a wireless system need a power source? If this is a "Wireless System" why does it have to be plugged into a power source?”

• Hello, The system transmits video on a wireless signal back to the main unit, without the need for a long video cable. The unit is not a cable-less unit, as a power adapter is required to be connected to a standard wall outlet, for the camera to have constant power. Thanks, Lorex

• Wireless means you don't need a coaxial or bnc but you still need power I have seen online where people have rigged up mini solar panels to a battery to power the camera but too unreliable to try.
