• I have d850 with a 70-200 just fits the 200-500 won’t fit in the bag at all.

• Those lenses would go into the main cavity , that’s where I would put them. It is easy access, but not quick release to which you refer. Main cabin has a U shaped zipper and a flap over it for protection .
