No rain hood was included, carry a small folded trash bag inside in the case of impending bad weather.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No hoods but water proof material...Wouldn't want to toss in a lake but no problem with rain. It is a nice little backpack hat is thick enough for a larger 35mm DSLR with a extra battery and side release option installed.

It is fairly small but can hold my Nikon D 800 DSLR with the battery pack and side release which males the camera MUCH larger than a regular DSLR. At the same time I can also put a small lens or two in or my 80-200 ED Nikon Zoom lens. I have another large Lowe camera backpack which holds a lot but often this is all I need.
