As indicated, the specified dimensions are external. Sorry, I don't have the bag to measure the interior. If your local store has it in stock, take a tape measure with you. One of the images shows the bag holding an Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO lens plus whatever Olympus camera (micro 4/3) with whatever unseen lens is mounted to it, and they're not tight-fitting. Maybe don't use the cell phone compartment and replace the divider with a thinner separator to maximize capacity.
