KEF recommends 25-100 watts per channel to drive these. I bought the same stereo amps that KEF uses to demo them, the Parasound Halo A23, which runs about $1k. That amp is rated at 125 watts into 8 ohms. I wouldn't recommend using the KEF LS50s with anything less.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They're rated for 25-100W per channel (continuous), but I'm using a Sonos AMP to power these, which has 125W per channel. Truth be told, the AMP seems a little underpowered with these; my older 100W ADCOM GFA-545 does a better job, probably due to the larger power supply being able to deliver ample current.
