“There's this kind of sponge sealed with a tape in the water tank, what should I do with that? Should I remove the tape before using? I can't find any information about it in the user guide. Thanks”

I did remove the tape. I believe it is there for the purpose of the water draining back into the tank from the cooling grids on the back. I've never seen dirt in my tank or really on the sponge. I will rinse my sponge as needed.
