QuestionI've been on lume cubes site, YouTube's and other forums. They say it can be used as a flash with a dslr. Turn it on and hold the opposite button for 5 secs to optical flash mode. Connect it via bluetooth to the app and take pictures somehow?..

- Answer It works as a slave. Which means you’re gonna need to pop up your built in flash and when that fires, your lume cube fires as well. If you have a camera like mine does it have a built-in flash, then you need to flash on your hot shoe to fire your lume cube. It has an optical sensor that triggers it when it senses a flash firing. It works very well.
