QuestionDoes this straightener glide through the hair like my Chi?

- Answer Unfortunately it does not. I have straight thick hair and I feel the plates pull my hair then glide like the chi. This was the one downfall I had with this straightener. I have a chi straightener and I believe it glides beautifully through my hair, this one not so much. More pulling then gliding.

- Answer It has built in batteries that are built in the flat iron. They cannot be removed. I am not sure how long Conair lasts but I can say the lunatas last a long time.
