“Why would I buy this instead of the new 24" iMac® with Retina 4.5K display - Apple M1 - 8GB…? I have an 2013 iMac which I'm told "security" is out of date.”

You would buy this if you wanted a better monitor or easier access to ports. This mac is fantastic when paired with any monitor that has hdmi connections. I purchased a 34" wide screen curved monitor and ot blows away the all in 1 macs screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a better option if you do not need the built in display, say you have a separate monitor you want to use. Between the two I’d rather have the Mac mini so I can pair with a 27” or 32” monitor.
