Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You can upgrade the 2019 21.5. Let’s hold on processor bc that isn’t an awful one. Your ram is just low. They have a latch in the back to add more GB. I have 27inch 2019 and I loaded it to 128GB for under 100 bucks. https://youtu.be/fN0Sc8XIpIs BUT HERE IS HOW TO CHANGE RAM (GB), MEMORY (SSD), and PROCESSOR TO I9 (same or better than M1) https://ekartco.com/2020/11/upgrading-a-base-2019-imac-21-to-32gb-1tb-ssd-and-i9-9900-cpu/ Just upgrade. Your just buying a new iMac otherwise. You can’t connect them together. Why pay for new hardware. Change the RAM AND PROCESSOR AND HSE EXTRRNAL HDD
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is actually a stand-alone computer, so it needs to be hooked up to a display of some sort, as well as a keyboard and mouse. Any of your existing Mac peripherals should work with it, but I don’t know if you can use your iMac as a display or if you’ll need a separate monitor or TV. I was using a 2019 MacBook Pro with the 8 core i9 chip & upgraded graphics card. It’s a great laptop and handled everting I needed to do - including video editing - really well. This little $700 MacMini runs circles around it right out of the box. Now I use my MacBook only when I travel. I’m really impressed with the MacMini. Hope this helps!
