Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, unfortunately previous answers are correct. You cannot upgrade the MacBooks anymore. I’m currently coming back to the BestBuy site every freaking day until I have to opportunity to order 16gb memory because I cannot use my Best Buy card through Apple. Apple blocks you into only being approved for their Credit Card (which they will not give me for a myriad of reason the last 2 years now despite my credit score) so I guess it’s more waiting for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Beginning in 2013, Apple began soldering their RAM to the motherboard on Macbook Pro 13 and 15 inch. Basically meaning if you have a MackBook Pro 2012 or older, you can install RAM yourself. However, if your MackBook Pro is 2013 and newer, you must order your desired RAM preinstalled.
