• That used (and still) to be the case for the more expensive model with Intel processors, Apple has changed that at least for this first Gen of M1 models, the only thing you get upgraded is the storage.

• Nope. The Macbook Pro M1 only has two thunderbolt ports.

• This is the M1 model, the latest model. What you are talking about is the intel model, which is the "old one." As stated above, the M1 only has two thunderbolt ports. You can find the specs here: https://www.apple.com/macbook-pro-13/specs/ On the page click M1. It clearly states it has 2 thunderbolt 3 ports.
