A:AnswerI hope for the same as well. Apples site shows you can increase to 16gb and I tried to talk to someone in chat and they just told me to keep checking the site.
A:AnswerThere's an adaptor you have to buy that costs $19.99. You can get them here :

A:AnswerYes, Yes, and YES! For your first question, once you plug in your external DVD player, (this laptop doesn't have a DVD drive on the laptop body) the laptop should prompt you what you want to do. If not, 3rd party apps should work just fine. This laptop does run Monterey, but you might have to update it. It will be supported for a long time. For your third question, it has an applet pre-installed called "Rosetta 2." You cannot see the app in your applications folder, or launchpad, but basically, it allows you to run intel-based applications on the new M1 chip.
A:Answerit provides a cable and a charging port but there is not an additional adaptor in the box so you would have to purchase it separate if you wanted to use more than the 2 ports it comes with and it is usbc.
A:AnswerYes, it does! I’ve managed to use 2 or 3 different apps from the Adobe Suite at once with pretty decent loading times & no change in screen quality or lagging or anything like that.
A:AnswerR and Rstudio work fine for me on the MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM for data analysis. Some Monte Carlo simulations take a while to run, but if I'm in a hurry, I will borrow a computer lab and give a bunch of computers a slice of the program to run. I don't use SPSS.
A:AnswerIm not sure about recording, it supposedly has improved microphone array for FaceTime or zoom, but for editing, I would have to believe its excellent because of the amazing speed of the Apple M1 chip.
A:AnswerBattery life on the M1 processor is much longer than all previous Intel generation MacBooks. It will vary based on your usage, but you can expect up to 18 hours. Laptop Magazine ran their battery test on this model and it clocked in at 16 hours and 32 minutes.
