Yes. We’ve bought over a dozen Macs for our business and Apple has honored the one year hardware warranty.

If it is open box, consult BBY but generally they will advise you before purchase. Either way BBY sells an extra cost warranty called total tech for two years or AppleCare which is also two years or by the year for as long as you own it
