I originally was aiming to purchase the M1 Pro 14", but this model popped up 50% off the original price tag for an open box in excellent condition. I don't have any regrets. It functions as if it was brand new. I would recommend going for an open box, especially for a previous model. When they go on clearance, you'll see those steep deals. In order to find this open box and get this deal, it wasn't easy. I had to come back to the website and see if any were in stock multiple times over the course of a week. The effort was worth it tho, IMO. I have had my previous Macbook Pro since 2015. I have taken good care of it and it still runs fairly well. I am only upgrading because the program I'm enrolling in requires a newer computer. Screen; computer power: although I don't think I will be pushing the GPU and CPU of this computer, the 16 inch screen is absolutely stunning. It will be helpful for juggling multiple windows on the screen at once. For the extent that I've used this computer so far (a dozen tabs, iMessage, Terminal, and Zoom), the computer has never gotten hot and I've never heard the fans turn on. very zippy when booting up apps and in general. Also: the notch! The notch at the top of the screen isn't bad at all. The people complaining on the internet about it are over exaggerating. I said what I said! Weight/size: Although this laptop is 1-2 pounds heavier than other Macbooks, carrying the laptop in a backpack doesn't really bug me. Battery: the battery is fairly well. Because it was open box, the battery health was rated at 89% when I first set it up. I'm guessing this was a display model and was always plugged in. Still lasts me all day. I can certainly look past the not-100% battery health to save 50% off of the price tag of this computer. hah. Two notes: *I've heard great things about the 15" Macbook Air. If you're not going to be pushing the GPU/CPU of the computer, I would recommend that computer with the 512gb and 16gb RAM configuration. It's a little bit lighter and you're still getting a great big screen. If you can, I would recommend waiting a year for the M3s to come out, and then snag the M2 model with the 512gb/16GB configuration for ~50% off :P however, this M1 Pro 16" supports connection to two external monitors, and regular Pros and Airs currently do not. also, the HDMI port and the SD card slot makes the M1 Pro 16" a lot more accessible. something to think about! *I wanted a pro computer without the touch bar. The fingerprint scan button is nice, but sometimes unlocking/locking the computer can result in some confusion with the screen shutting off and turning on. I still haven't figured out a smooth way to lock/unlock the computer - it looks like you just rest your finger on the button and don't push, even if the screen is off, but we'll see over the coming weeks.

The best computer out by far! Super fast, the battery life is amazing. I work online so I’m on my computer for at least 8 hours a day editing, and running multiple files at the same time. The bottom of the MacBook doesn’t get hot like previous models, and the charge will last you all day. If you’re worried about the notch being in the way, don’t be. You get used to it and don’t notice it after a while. The 16 inch is surprisingly easy to carry around, I thought it would be heavier than it actually is. 10/10 would recommend and I love the clean, sleek look.

I love this laptop. I am a professional photographer and videographer. I needed an upgrade from the old HP laptop I was using and was looking for something that would be able to handle the software I use to edit photos/videos. After a lot of research, I bought this and it has not disappointed yet! It runs like a charm and is super fast in every program I use. The screen is huge and perfect for editing photos/videos! I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone especially photographers/videographers!

I’ve recently decided I was gonna write a book and finding a decent computer was the first step in the long process of beginning my writing career. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It charges fast, stays charged for a long time, and processes quickly which is very important when it comes to writing a book. And that’s only a small list out of a much longer list of reasons I love this computer. If you’re questioning rather it’s worth it or trying to justify to yourself why you would pay so much…TRUST ME it’s worth it!

Wow! This thing is so fast. The screen is gorgeous, the sound is excellent for a laptop, and I am not coming close to stretching its’ capabilities. This is a replacement for my trusty 2011 iMac, which was still working perfectly but was no longer supported with security updates. I hope Apple will give me a similar lifespan for this. That’s one of the things I love about Apple products, they last.

Got the best deal on “Black Friday” at Best Buy. Was going to wait for the 16” M2 MBP next year. But I couldn’t pass up on this massive $500 price drop. This MacBook Pro 16 is a beauty. Coming from a late 2016 model. This is a fast machine and the mini led liquid retina XDR screen pops and looks amazing. I bought this for the screen size, not for portability. It’s quite a big MacBook and heavier than your mb air and pro 13-14. This MacBook will stay in office desk 95% of the time. So it works perfect for me. I won’t be pushing this machine to it’s capabilities. But I’m glad if I ever have to, It’s on tap. Must see to appreciate. I took advantage of Best Buy’s awesome 24 month financing and you just can’t beat that 0% apr and low monthly payments. Thanks Best Buy.

This is really a best system I have worked on till now. It really fast and very valuable when you work on video edits or if you are using it for writing codes. I work on it writing multiple line of code and it works really awesome best battery life as well.

This computer is everything my girlfriend needed and more. It's quick, easy to navigate, huge screen and pretty light for its size. Would 10/10 recommend this MacBook to anyone looking for an efficient upgrade. The battery life is outstanding and can run all day without needing a charge - this is helpful as she forgets to bring her charger to campus sometimes.

Hands down the best Mac thus far! Apple says that every keynote, but fortunately for us, it also happens to be true! The construction, design and performance are unmatched! Even the bottom of the barrel 16” will wipe the floor with my fully spec’s previous 16” Intel powered MBP. Kudos Apple, you did it again! Now just make it cost 50% cheaper and you will be unstoppable!

I'm writing this review almost 2 years after having purchased the MacBook. I have to say this is without a doubt the best laptop I have ever owned. All these years later and I have not run into any issues with it. It works as great as it did the day I bought it. I can see myself using it for many more years without hiccups. I know I have more power than I could ever need so there's no fear of falling behind. The screen and sound are amazing, it really feels like I'm getting my money's worth using this computer.

Beautiful, responsive, fantastic screen and incredible speakers. Improved camera over the past few years, great microphones and an absolute powerhouse! If you need something portable with a ton of power or just want the best Apple has to offer in a laptop, this is it. MagSafe <3

This MacBook is sick! The batter will last for a week with a normal use, the speed does not make sense and it’s completely dinámica I love it, it does worth

I upgraded from the 2019 MacBook Pro and I am so pleased with the upgrades. The redesigned keyboard, bigger trackpad, louder speakers, and brighter screen are all good. For me, some of the best upgrades have to do with the ports. Apple has brought back the SD Card and HDMI ports and they are awesome. The most amazing feature, however, is the M1 chip which makes the processing power that much stronger. Now, I am able to edit photos and videos at a much greater rate of efficiency. I am incredibly satisfied with this product.

I am new to using a MacBook. For over over 40 years I have used a Windows operating system. When the guy at Best Buy suggested I try this, after I described what I needed, I was skeptical. But, it has been wonderful and I am a true believer that once you try Mac, you'll never go back. I like my 16" screen and the clarity of videos while watching my favorite streaming services is great! (While I miss having a numbers keypad for easy data entry, I still wouldn't go back to my old computer.) I am still learning and probably could use a class on all the things I till don't know. However, one neat feature is the integration with my iPhone! The is AWESOME!

I loveee this computer. It is highly functional and can be used for almost everything. Although it may not be able to handle high-load programs, I feel like it does an amazing job holding together for everything else. The upgrade from their 2016 computer was really nice.

I had a 2019 iMac that I upgraded the RAM and SSD to make it run faster, but I decided that I needed something more portable. I bought this MacBook after selling my old iMac and this thing is an absolute MONSTER. It is so snappy. Everything just works. The keyboard keys feel so solid even though they are low profile, the liquid retina display is better than any other display I have ever seen. I do a ton of work with photo/video editing and this doesn't skip a beat. This is also my main PC for my at home setup that I also do live streaming from. It doesn't skip a step. There is no spinning loading wheel, storage transfer speeds are ridiculously fast. I love this thing and I don't think there is a better laptop out right now that have the same specs
