• There’s no need for tapping the screen. You have a trackpad that works just like tapping but keeps your screen clean. :)

• The ipad is for those that prefer touch screen, The interface of the Mac is not designed with touch controls. If the mac had touch screen controls, the ipads value would be close to zero.

• No MacBook Pro laptop has touch screen. In my opinion they don't need it since you can interact with it really well using the keyboard and trackpad.
