• No, you don't have to buy the whole unit again. But, it does have a yearly fee. When you activate your Magic Jack it will help you sign up for auto-renew of the plan you choose.

• You will pay $40 yearly unless you pay ahead. $90 for 3 years. Plus you Will have to pay 911 fees. For my area in NY it is $4.20 a year.
