“Can this magicjack be hooked directly to a router or do you have to hook it to a computer to make & receive calls. I'm not sure if I need to replace my magicjack or cordless phones as I am getting lots of line noise. Magicjack customer service is no help.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You plug the magic jack into an Ethernet port, either directly to a router, or as in my case, plugged into a switch that plugs into a router. I have a 4 phone panasonic regular set of land line phones then plugged into the other port on the magic jack. All of these phones work without modification.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can hook it directly to a router. If you hook it to a computer it has to be kept on 24/7 or the phone won’t work. With the router you don’t have that problem
