Yes, any phone will work you just plug it into the MagicJack outlet.

I personally hook mine up to an ATT cordless phone base station and then have other ATT cordless phones throughout my house. You can also plug the magic jack into a phone wall outlet (as long as you don't have phone service) and then you can plug phones in anywhere in your house that has a phone jack.
