Get Her Done
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Seems okay, I've Had problems. I had it before never got hacked, only time shall tell. It was easily installed and there are other features and things that comes with it which I'm not sure what all they are. Took the PC into the BB to have it installed with the geek squad there was no charges for the upgrades.

Magic Jack saves money
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Only thing needed is internet service. Easy to contact customer service thru chat. They walked me thru whole set up STEP BY STEP. Connects right into your modem & electrical outlet. I cut the cost of a phone bill. No more monthly bill, no bill for one whole year. Pay one LOW price yearly. Should have purchased this YEARS AGO. I would have saved SOOOOO MUCH MONEY! Denise

Great Money Saving Product If You Like Landlines
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. We have been using Magic Jack for probably 5 years and really like it. So when we needed another line, it was a no-brainer to purchase another. This one we plan on using for vacations overseas. (Yes, if you have hotel wifi overseas, you can call the US for free by plugging the phone into the Magic Jack and plugging the Magic Jack into your PC.) The price includes 1 year of service. After that, yearly service price varies depending on how many years of service you purchase. For us, the city tax we pay for 911 service is more than the yearly cost of the Magic Jack service. We really appreciate Magic Jack sending us emails with audio voice messages when we are not home. We purchased this at Best Buy because sometimes internet businesses send used or defective products. This product is relatively easy to set up. You have the option of either plugging it directly into your router or into your PC. Very inexpensive so long as you have internet service.

Great Product
||Posted .Owned for 9 months when reviewed.Wonderful! I wished I had purchased it long ago. My husband has insisted on keeping our landline phone number all these years. Our number has followed us from AT& T internet, Vonage, and Cox Cable internet for years. Read online the Magic Jack reviews and decided to try it. To my surprise I was able to hook it up myself and I have no experience with doing this what so ever. The reviews said anyone can do it and they are right. But of course follow all instructions on keeping your number. It was all a great experience and it has been 9 months and all is going well. My only regret is I have not had time to use all the features available like call blocking etc. Mrs.S

Fantastic value!
||Posted .Owned for 1 year when reviewed. One of the best purchases I've made. I thought I had a low phone bill with Vonage, then Basic Talk, but MagicJack has better services, and better online phone service/bill management capability, and is much cheaper! Great for blocking/screening Robocalls and Telemarketers. System asks caller to enter a number, (which changes randomly per call), to complete the call and be able to leave a voicemail. A computerized Robocall system can't do that! If the call comes from a human telemarketer - they can dial the access number and leave a message but you can block the number after the fact, without answering the call first.

WORKS GREAT, GREAT DEAL
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. We've had our MagicJack for about a month now and are very happy with it so far. It has every function that your cable company can offer, they just may not operate the same way. Only drawback is if you are porting your number there can be up to a 15-day waiting period before it is fully activated. You can still maker outbound calls, but you will not hear it ring when someone tries to call you. But, you can always check your voicemail quite regularly, or issue an alert to your friends and family about the delay. Then there's always your cell phone ...

Q: Questionhow exactly does this work, our att phone keeps saying no line so we are missing calls all the time.
Asked by GRANDMAC.
- A:Answer Magic Jack allows you to make phone calls over the internet. It does not use traditional phone lines. When you receive it, you have the option of either plugging it into your internet router *or* you can plug it into your computer. Then you plug your phone into the Magic Jack. When you place a call, the signal goes to the Magic Jack which converts it to a signal that can go over the internet. I am not sure exactly how it connects from there to a traditional phone service company. But it does. I think the call is routed to the Magic Jack company and it handles the routing.. One feature I like is that if you do not answer the phone, the caller can leave a message and the Magic Jack company will record it and email the recording as an attachment to an email. Nice!

Q: QuestionI currently have a "corded home phone" with an attached answering machine with three additional cordless phones these are a set. I have had for years. Will these still work if I switch from my landline service to Magic Jack ? Thank you!
Asked by SKD.
- A:Answer I have a corded phone and 3 cordless also, and i switched from Vonage to magic jack, so far so good. i have a telephone wire splitter so the cords go from the wall to the splitter, then to both phones and my fax. I havent checked the fax yet but i assume it would work since both phones ring fine.
