For small detailed parts you should consider a SLA printer. The difference in detail and quality are astounding. You should look at the Anycubic Photon series printers. They are very good and very affordable. I am getting my husband the Anycubic Photon Mono SE. I have done many, many hours of research and that printer is the best balance of quality and price.

Since you have told us the size at 100% scale there no way to know the size of the 3D printed scale model. A lot of details would be possible on a 3D printed over 3 inches wide by 3 inches deep by 3 inches high. The details you would like to see will need to be 5 layers thick. If you could provide the size of the finished project you would like to print. A more detailed answer would be possible. Best of luck to you.
