“I have never had a 3D printer and have only watched someone briefly use one. Are they easy to use and print on? Does it come with software to install on computer? Thank you”

These are very easy to use, but are limited in order to stay easy to use. If you only use Makerbot filament and are doing simple objects it is about 5 minutes between getting it out of the box and starting your first print. There is no assembly required, and the "printing software" (referred to as a "slicer") - Makerbot Print is a simple download.
