“Will this tripod allow me to switch to portrait or does it only shoot horizontally?”

• the tripod head is a swivel head, it has a lever to take it from being level to full motion and the lock on the head is very easy to use

• You will need an L bracket on your camera

• It has both options. Portrait or the option to lock it in horizontally for video.

• It does switch for portrait or landscape orientation.

• That depends on the style of bracket that you have. I use the tripod mount for IPad's and it allows me to shoot portrait and landscape videos.
