Yes I use my manfrotto with my Nikon D5300 & Nikkor 70-300mm lens. While it does hold the weight quite well I would be sure to use a counterweight for extra center pull. I use my camera pack. And I always make sure I have a leg out in front of the camera in the direction I am shooting to compensate for the lens weight. Hope this answer helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If total weight is under 3.3 pounds and in mild to moderate wind I'd think so--
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes with out any problem. However, it would depend on the type of lens not just the 200mm. Such as if it has a ultra sonic motor then the lens will be bigger. But i am doubting that it the situation.
